“Raksha Bandhan celebrates the bond of protection, love, and lifelong support.”
To honour the sacred and beautiful festival of Raksha Bandhan, a heartwarming Rakhi Making Activity was conducted on August 8th, 2025 for our tiny tots from Nursery to U.K.G. at M.S. Kawar International School.
🧵 Learning Through Tradition
The activity began with a gentle and engaging discussion about the significance of Raksha Bandhan—a festival that celebrates the eternal bond between brothers and sisters. Teachers shared stories and explained how sisters tie rakhi on their brothers’ wrists, symbolizing love and a promise of protection.
Our little learners listened attentively, showing genuine interest in the cultural tradition.
🎨 Crafting Rakhis with Love
With creative energy flowing, the students got busy making their own colorful and decorative rakhis. Using ribbons, beads, glitter, and paper cut-outs, they crafted beautiful rakhis with joy and pride. The activity helped develop their fine motor skills, creativity, and a sense of cultural belonging.
The classrooms were filled with excitement, laughter, and the spirit of sibling love.
